About our Sunday gatherings
Our time together begins at 5pm on Sundays, but if it's your first time visiting us, we recommend coming a few minutes early. If you're coming with kids, aim for 10 minutes early so we can show you and them around and answer any questions you might have. We take part in communion every week. At some point during the gathering everyone, including children, will be welcome to come forward and partake in the bread and cup. During the sermon the speaker may invite people to participate in discussion. Feel free to engage this as much or as little as you like. It’s okay to speak up. It’s okay to say nothing. We’re casual, easy-going, and relaxed. Please feel free to grab a coffee or use the bathroom during the gathering.
If you’ve brought children with you, you’ve come to the right place. Kids, along with their energy and personality, are welcome here. If kids make noise, that’s okay. If they spill a drink, that’s okay.
We have a nursery. There are care-givers present for the entire gathering.
Children from JK to grade 5 will be dismissed during the gathering. After dismissal they are typically split into their own programs (JK-SK & Grades 1-5). Depending on what they’re up to, they may return to join everyone for communion. As a parent/guardian you are free to decide if your child will participate in communion.
If you’re visiting on the first Sunday of the month it’s likely we’re going to have a shorter gathering and a potluck afterwards. You are very welcome to stay and eat with us. Don’t worry at all about not bringing anything.
